SAFECONF - Safe configuration and parameterization of safety devices according to IEC 61508 up to SIL3
SAFECONF is the safe configuration tool for an intuitive configuration of safety devices such as safety controllers, configurable safety relays or safe drives. Combined with the safe runtime system SafeOS, safety systems can be realized according to the IEC 61508 up to SIL3 within a short time.
Simple and intuitive configuration of the safety device
When developing the safe configuration tool SAFECONF, easy and efficient operating concepts were realized. A safety function can be configured with just a few mouse clicks. Besides programming experts, also electricians, who have wired safety technology until now, can immediately use this tool.
The following features make SAFECONF unique:
- Universally diversified software architecture ensures highest reliability of the safety functionality up to SIL3
- Certified safety function blocks with quick help shown in a tool tip, detailed description in the help system and a clear text diagnosis displayed in online mode
- Integration of additional OEM libraries
- Password protection of the configuration and the device
- Consistent operation by drag and drop
- Clearly structured configuration level
- Autorouting of connection lines
- Clear separation of individual safety functions in the configuration
- Parameterization of safety-related device functions with the SAFEGRID editor integrated in SAFECONF
- Simulation of the configuration including time sequence

SAFECONF: Safe and non-safe signals
Besides the pure safety function, SAFECONF also supports the connection of digital non-safe signals and even the combination of safe and non-safe signals, for example, for a start button or the control of signal lamps. That reduces hardware costs and the wiring expenditure. |

Safe elements are displayed by yellow and non-safe signals by gray symbols in the graphical connection editor. |

SAFECONF: Possibilities of configuration transfer
For example, the configuration data can be transferred to the safety device via conventional interfaces like Ethernet or USB but also via a memory card. In any case, SAFECONF reliably protects the configuration data. |

SAFECONF: The hardware editor with regard to control
Display of the device to be configured is OEM-specific. Due to open interfaces, SAFECONF provides a high degree of freedom for comfortably displaying all available device signals and functions.
The signals can be easily dragged and dropped from the hardware editor to the safety logic and "wired".
Via the context menu of the device display, the hardware can be parameterized, the data sheet can be opened etc.

SAFECONF: Certified safety and function blocks
Besides the basic functions such as Boolean connections (AND, OR etc.), timers, pulse generators and counters available in SAFECONF, KW-Software optionally provides an extensive library with certified function blocks according to PLCopen safety specification 1.0.
|
 |
| |
The library covers all important safety functions such as Emergency Stop, Two-Hand Control, Safety Door, Mode Selector, Muting and many more.
The use of standardized and already certified safety function blocks considerably simplifies the planning and certification of a machine or plant.

SAFECONF: Commissioning tools and simulation
SAFECONF has powerful functionalities for supporting the function test and for commissioning the safe configuration, like for example the online display of signal values or forcing of signals. Furthermore, the integrated EasySim simulation enables a preliminary test of the configured safety logic without connected hardware. |

SAFECONF: Adaptation to your hardware
Thanks to open interfaces, SAFECONF and SafeOS can be adapted customer-specifically. The programs support the advantages of configurable safety technology with regard to handling and performance range in the best possible way. |

SafeOS: Safe runtime system
SafeOS is the 2-channel, diversified, high-performance safe runtime system for safety devices. SafeOS seamlessly continues the diversified SAFECONF software architecture of the configuration tool on the safety device. SafeOS provides additional firmware services, which together with a device-specific firmware make a further operating system superfluous. Further exemplary features of SafeOS:
- High performance through real machine code
- Integration of non-safe signals
- Debug functionality
- Methods for memory errors detection
- Protection of the synchronization data between the two diversified channels
- Extensive diagnostic possibilities
- Runtime monitoring through software watchdog
