2nd event on a high level successful for KW-Software

(10/05) High quality lectures given by experts, interesting exchange of experience with specialists as well the exhibition of the partner companies attracted this year more than 70 participants to the 2nd Day of Automation, organized by KW-Software in Stuttgart, Germany. According to the motto "Trends and solutions in automation", the participants were informed on the 26th October about innovative solutions in the field of industrial control technology, future demands on functional safety in automation as well as on future-oriented Microsoft.net-based automation solutions.

 
 

In his speech of welcome, Andreas Orzelski, Managing Director of KW-Software GmbH, introduced the main trends which will change automation until 2010. Trends are for example Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs) which combine PLC, drive, HMI and communication, Microsoft.NET as leading software standard in the field of automation and safety controls which replace traditional safe devices. With its innovative products (Automation Framework, Proconos embedded CLR, Safeprog, Safeos, Safegrid), KW-Software already offers today solutions for these trends.

Well-known speakers from the industry such as Prof. Jörg Wollert/FH Bochum, Dr. Joachim Strobel/KUKA Roboter, Mr. Michael Gieselmann/Lenze and Mr. Stefan Häb/TÜV Rheinland reported on the solutions and demands on automation technology. Alexander Bormann of Phoenix Contact explained in his lecture the Profinet IEC 61131 control technology which, based on the KW-Software products, will be applied in future for the bodyshell work of the Audi A4.

The feedback of the professional visitors was positive without an exception. During breaks, a lively exchange of experience took place between the experts. The stands of the partner companies Advantech, EBV/Altera, GTI control, Hilscher, ISH, MSC, Phoenix Contact, Spectra and Sütron enjoyed great interest. The "Day of Automation" will again be organized next year.
