KW-Software celebrated its 25th company anniversary

KW-Software, pioneer in the area of development of PLC programming software for automation, recently looked back on 25 years of successful company history. This event was commemorated in Lemgo, Germany, with a ceremonial act to which numerous guests were invited.

Among the congratulators were the two founders of the company, Jürgen Klöpper and Reinhard Wiege. They reported on the child and youth days of the company and entertained the invited guests with amusing anecdotes about the first steps to independence and the first customer orders from the agricultural sector. Roland Bent, executive of Phoenix Contact, also congratulated KW-Software on its 25th company anniversary and commemorated the first contacts between both companies. Rounding off the ceremonial act, Klaus Eisert, Managing Partner of Phoenix Contact, presented the Phoenix Contact Award to Andreas Orzelski, Managing Director of KW-Software. Andreas Orzelski expressed his thanks for the trust shown: "With our committed and qualified team, numerous long-standing partnerships and our customers, we continue to look forward to a common positive future."

KW-Software is the leading provider of software solutions in the area of industrial control and safety technology, and has been part of the Phoenix Contact Group since 2001. The PLC programming software Multiprog was already developed in the eighties and is widespread on the market today. The development of the PLC runtime system ProConOS started in 1991. Throughout the years the concept by KW-Software has gained world-wide recognition. There are subsidiaries in Japan, China and the USA. This was followed by additional product developments like ProVisIT, Multiprog Suite, Automation Framework, Safeprog, Safeos, ProConOS embedded CLR. At the beginning of 2007, KW-Software started its Profinet activities. In 2006, the company achieved a turnover of 4.9 million Euro with 44 employees.
