KW-Software participates!

KW-Software's core competence is the integration of IEC 61131, Safety and Profinet technologies in automation devices and solutions. In the middle of 2010 KW-Software will move to the new CIT-Centrum Industrial IT in Lemgo.

On the campus of the Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Lemgo there will arise an innovative research and development center, which will be used within the scope of cooperation collectively by the Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe and technology companies such as KW-Software, Phoenix Contact, Weidmüller Interface, ISI Automation, Owita and the Institute Industrial IT. The Fraunhofer-Institute for information- and data processing in Karlsruhe, which founded the Competence Center Industrial Automation (InA) in Lemgo at the beginning of October, is involved as well.

In the future the companies and institutes will research, develop and market new solutions for the field of industrial automation side by side on around 5.500 square meters. The focus thereby will be on the development of technologies for the automation such as real-time communication. Due to the involvement of the Fraunhofer Institute the options of research in the field of the industrial information technology can be extended noticeably. The staff of the competence center will acquire solutions and direct realizable results for the industrial automation systems. Based on this the power of innovation of the region Ostwestfalen-Lippe represented automation and engineering companies will be strengthened.

Over 200 guests from science, economy and politics were present when NRW-prime minister Dr. Jürgen Rüttgers pointed out the role of medium-sized enterprises, in particular mechanical and plant engineering and the universities in Ostwestfalen-Lippe.
