Certified software components according to IEC 61508 up to SIL3 ease programming of safe drive functions and PLCs

The requirement to software components as part of parameterizable or programmable safety systems (PLCs, drives) increased in a drastic way due to the IEC 61508. Today, only a few companies have the required knowledge to master such a software development concerning the organizational tasks and its contents with acceptable and maintainable expenditures. Use of software products which are already certified considerably simplifies realization and certification of safetyrelevant automation systems.
