The previous basis of the solution and technology provider in the field of industrial control software - the IEC 61131 programming system MULTIPROG and the PLC runtime ProConOS - were expanded by a programming system for the safety technology (SAFEPROG) and the corresponding runtime (SafeOS).

With MULTIPROG KW-Software offers an open automation platform for distributed systems. Application programming is facilitated by a large number of practical features, such as intuitive operation, IntelliSense, syntax highlighting, extensive cross references and the adaptive wizard. Extensive diagnostic functions, for example Logic Analyzer, recipes, breakpoints, address debug, single steps, online changing of program parts while the PLC runs and a PLC simulation, minimize commissioning times. The open architecture makes it possible to break new ground in the field of programming. Via the Automation Interface the project data are available for other tools. Various observers ensure the absolutely necessary data consistency. It is for example possible to create and change variables externally and to extend them by additional information of other tools. Furthermore ActiveX Controls can be integrated.

With the installation of the PLC operating system ProConOS^®, a standard hardware platform as well as a specific hardware platform becomes a powerful PLC. ProConOS embedded is available for a number of different processors and real-time operating systems. Supported processors include INTEL 16Bit, INTEL 32Bit, Motorola 68xxx, Motorola PowerPC, Hitachi SH03, StrongARM and NetARM. With the SoftPLCs ProConOS NT and ProConOS CE, KW-Software offers two products for Windows platforms. The ProConOS toolkit for different processors and real-time operating systems provides the most simple and fastest way to create an own automation solution with ProConOS.

SAFEPROG is an IEC 61131 programming system for safety-relevant applications with a very clear user interface and it supports the languages LD, FBD and IL. The safety requirements are fulfilled by different error-detecting features, an extensive user management, redundant code creation and standard safety function blocks.

SafeOS is a redundant IEC 61131 PLC operating system for safety-relevant applications. With the programming system SAFEPROG and the redundant runtime system SafeOS, KW-Software offers an IEC 61131-based safety solution which can be certified.
