OPC-Server and ProConOS® Gateway for distributed communication

The ProConOS® OPC-Server opens the door to the standard world of Windows® or Windows® CE. The ProConOS® Gateway enables remote access to ProConOS®PLCs via the TCP/IP Protocol (Internet or Ethernet).
   
 

ProConOS® OPC-Server

The ProConOS® OPC-Server is responsible for the data exchange between Windows® and Windows® CE applications and ProConOS® PLCs via the manufacturer-independent client/server interface OPC (OLE for Process Control). For example, visualisations or databases can access process data of the control via the OPC-Server.
  Certification: The ProConOS® OPC-Server has been tested by the OPC Foundation in numerous interoperability tests with a number of OPC Clients.

ProConOS® Gateway

ProConOS® Gateway offers an increase in the availability of machines and plants, as various tasks can be executed from any desired location, such as:
  • Control and analysis of PLCs
  • Download and activation of new PLC programs
  • Reconfiguration or bug-fixing in PLC systems
  ProConOS® Gateway allows the communication between MULTIPROG® and ProConOS® PLCs to be routed via subnets without having to consult the network administrator. Access to LANs and subnets via ProConOS® Gateway can be realized via the cheap and world-wide available communication medium called Internet.
