High effectiveness of safety functions
Apart from the comfortable and intuitive operation of the system, the safety-relevant aspect is of highest importance. SAFEPROG contains a number of error-detecting features that guarantee the effectiveness of the safety functions already during programming. |

Fulfilling safety requirements
To support safety requirements, SAFEPROG provides powerful functions:
- User management with definable authorizations for editing and debugging, project creation, commissioning and maintenance. Through division into three user groups and allocation of restrictive access rights, non-authorized changes are prevented.
|
 |
 |
| |
- Strict distinguishing between safe and non-safe logic (networks) when programming the safety application.
- Log mechanisms for continuous monitoring of correctness and completeness from program creation to code generation. Each safety-relevant change in the project or at the system respectively is logged, with information about the user, a time stamp and a checksum.
- 2-channel and completely independent diversified code creation.
- Color marking of different function blocks, according to their origin (IEC 61131 standard blocks, library blocks)
- Marking of non-safe variables (e.g. diagnostic variables, i.e. global I/O variables which are assigned to a diagnostic process data item).
- Check lists for documentation according to IEC 61508 in order to simplify the acceptance of the PLC programs. In a dialog available specifically for project documentation, all safety-relevant issues are realized as mandatory fields. Thus, a project cannot be completed without having completed the documentation.
- Graphic display of the bus configuration.
- Simple connection of the safe terminals and variables via drag & drop.
