Creating visualization applications intuitively

ProVisIT is the easy and compact machine visualization with powerful features. Easy applications can be designed very quickly within a few minutes using standard objects. For more complex applications, Visual Basic Script allows to transfer the specific knowledge of your machine or plant to intelligent objects.

Free graphical editor

The free graphical editor enables intuitive creation of visualizations. The operation of the editor is strictly based on the Windows® standard, so that you can start designing your project without having to get used to the application first. For example, the editor supports drag & drop, grouping and aligning objects, undo/redo and zoom functions.

Large number of standard objects

ProVisIT supports the usage of graphic elements and Windows® standard objects. This set can be expanded by user-defined libraries and ActiveX Controls. Graphics and images can be imported as Window® Metafiles or as Bitmaps.
The following standard objects are available:
  • Lines, polylines, curves, rectangles, ellipses, polygons and Bitmaps
  • Edit boxes, check boxes, radio buttons, combo boxes and list boxes
  • Textual as well as numerical display and edit fields
  • Switches, buttons, bar displays, sliders, analogue displays and clock
  • Text output window for message handling
  • Alarm lists

Extensive dynamization of objects

Numerous dynamizations of objects are possible (also several per object), like: Size, position, rotation, color changes and actions, e.g. defining user shortcuts, jumps to visualization pages, setting variable values, executing scripts and much more...

The allocation of a dynamic property is very simple via the context menu. Afterwards, the newly assigned dynamic property of the object can be configured in the properties dialog.

Reuse due to object instances and library functions

Each visualization screen can be inserted into a library and then be reused as visualization object.

Browsing of program parts via the ProConOS® OPC Server allows to associate function block instances from the IEC 61131 program directly with a visualization object. It is therefore no longer necessary to assign each individual OPC tag to a particular screen component.

Relieving the PLC with VBScript

Easy applications can be designed very quickly within a few minutes using standard objects. For more complex applications, Visual Basic Script allows to transfer the specific knowledge of your machine or plant to intelligent objects.

   [Additional scripting information]

International usage due to online language switching

All texts used in screens and scripts can be exported, translated and imported again. As a result, in addition to the user interface language, project-specific texts can also be switched to another language during runtime.

The parameter list: Online display and variable manipulation combined in one dialog

In the parameter list, variable values can be displayed, converted, overwritten, imported and exported:
  • Defining minimum and maximum values for variables
  • Limiting variable values with scripts (e.g. for monitoring user inputs during runtime)
  • Conversion of values using converter scripts for input and display conversion.

Cross references provide an overview

With the cross reference list you will have an overview even of large projects. The list details the usage of each variable. Furthermore it provides the possibility to jump to the corresponding location in the visualization project where a particular variable is used.

Defining, displaying, processing and managing alarms

ProVisIT provides an alarm management which allows to monitor global variables and OPC variables.
Alarms are continuously captured during runtime and logged in the Alarm Log. This happens even if the 'Alarm List' object responsible for the alarm is not contained in the active window, but runs in the background. This way, more than 1000 alarm conditions can be handled without loosing performance.

Alarm List objects are also supported by Windows CE in runtime mode.

Recipes: Collected values

A recipe is the combination of the default values for several OPC variables. With recipes it is possible to read the values of several OPC variables from the control or write them onto the control with one command.

The management of recipes is carried out centrally via dialog. In this dialog you can either manually define the default values for OPC variables or read the current values from the control All OPC variables contained in the dialog are saved in a common recipe file and loaded from the harddrive, transferred to the control, and if required they can also be overwritten by reading the values from the control.

... and many additional functions:

  • Easy management and hierarchical filing of graphics and scripts in the project tree
  • Presetting the screen size and other default settings
  • Password protection for projects and libraries
  • Runtime operation without mouse when working at the machine
  • Object-related, user defined HTML help
  • ...
