ProConOS® embedded and ProConOS® Windows SoftPLC ProConOS® is available in different versions. With the installation of ProConOS®, a standard hardware platform as well as a specific embedded hardware platform becomes a powerful PLC.

ProConOS® SoftPLC: If an industrial PC is available under Windows for operation and monitoring services, this can take over complete PLC functionality thanks to ProConOS®. SoftPLCs include: ProConOS® for Linux as SoftPLC and embedded variant for several platforms. |

Standards as base, specialization by KW-Software ProConOS® is normally based on a real-time multitasking kernel that provides the necessary functions from the side of the operating system which ProConOS® itself uses for internal purposes and by which multitasking is possible for the PLC application.
In the ProConOS® Windows kernel mode driver, this task is taken over by the KWRTK (KW Realtime-Kernel). This kernel real-time extension by KW-Software makes sure that no additional costs are incurred by the use of additional third-party software. And the available ready-to-use drivers for fieldbus cards by Hilscher significantly decrease the effort required for the bus connection. |
