ProConOS® OPC-Server and Gateway for distributed communication

The ProConOS® OPC-Server can be used for communication with a PLC or in distributed PLC networks. The ProConOS® Gateway enables simple remote access to ProConOS® PLCs.
   
 

OPC-Server - opens the door to the world of Windows®

The OPC-Server supports the following functions:

  • Parameterization and supervision of data monitoring are enabled via the user interface. 
  • Browse interface with all instance information. For engineering, the OPC Client receives all available variables via a flat or hierarchical Browse interface. 
  • Communication at the same time with multiple ProConOS® PLCs in the network.
  • In case of project changes during the current process, the OPC-Server is automatically updated. This way, the plant can be changed during operation, without affecting data exchange with the OPC-Server. 
  • Available as Out-Process and In-Process-Server.
  • Available for standard Windows® operating systems and Windows® CE 3.0.
  • Supports the interface standards DA 1.0A and 2.04.
  • Successfully passed interoperability tests with a number of OPC Clients by the OPC Foundation.

ProConOS® Gateway - remote maintenance of ProConOS® PLCs

ProConOS® Gateway allows the communication between ProConOS® PLCs to be routed via subnets without having to consult the network administrator. The connection is established via the TCP/IP protocol on the basis of standard PC components and Windows® communication services.
  The features at a glance:
  • Access to LANs and subnets via ProConOS® Gateway can be realized via the cheap and world-wide available communication medium called Internet.
  • A point-to-point connection to a ProConOS® Gateway via the public or internal phone network allows secure access to the internal LAN and its subnets.
  • Clear display of the active connections with the possibility to request detailed information. This enables easy realization of control tasks for the functionality of the ProConOS® Gateway.
  • Listing and reporting of all requests and connections of the Gateway.
  • The user authorization for a ProConOS® PLC can be individually determined for each communication connection. This way the operational safety is increased due to authorized access.
