The aim of this event is to introduce participants to the automation concept of the IEC 61131 and to impart the standardized structuring and language elements as well as their practical usage. These learning objectives are combined with a basic training in using the standard development tool MULTIPROG and the PLC runtime system ProConOS.
Group of participants:
Planning engineers, programmers, maintenance and service staff for PLC controlled machines and plants.
Background knowledge:
Practical experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or good knowledge of a higher programming language as well as of Windows applications.
Agenda:
- Architecture of the software MULTIPROG and ProConOS
- Intentions and elements of the standard IEC 61131-3 (program organization, data management)
- Creating and structuring projects in compliance with the standard
- Programming using the standard languages Instruction List (IL), Structured Text (ST), Ladder Diagram (LD), Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
- Use of the standard functional range and creation of subprograms
- Projects with multitasking and several controls
- Management of libraries
- Utilities for testing and commissioning
The training course fulfills the requirements of the PLCopen regarding IEC 61131-compliant training and is certified accordingly. The detailed agenda is presented at the beginning of the training but can be provided earlier on request.
Complex data types:
At Friday following the basic training, we offer a one-day training course to reinforce the knowledge about programming Structured Text and complex data types (structures and arrays).
Certificate:
Each participant obtains a certificate attesting the attendance.
